At 8:20 a.m. this morning, Donna and Joe will depart from Phoenix, Az to China to pick up their baby girl.

Wow.
On August 8, 2005, my friends Donna and Joe applied to adopt a child from China. On September 9, 2005 Donna started her blog, Waiting for Lauren Elizabeth, to track their progress. What was originally thought to be a 12 month or so wait turned out to be nearly three years!
